Hi Melanie, Melisa and Lorna,

I’m Michelle, an amateur PHP developer living in the lake-side resort 
community of Kincardine Ontario Canada.  I got into website design and 
development five years ago to help out a local charitable organization. 
  I started with Dreamweaver, but found I needed something more flexible 
to meet the rapidly changing, poorly defined desires of the 
organization.  I’ve currently into my second year of a hand-coded PHP 
website with a MySQL backend for products and customer info.

I work full time in another non-traditional profession, but I really 
enjoy an evening of coding.  I’m hoping in a few years I’ll be able to 
leave my current job and to spend more time programming, either as 
employee, contractor or volunteer.

I bought myself an EeePC for Christmas.  (Guitar Hero was out-of-stock).
